Once summer is over, every parent needs to prepare for back to school shopping. Finding school supplies is one thing but helping your kids pick out the right clothes is a whole other ball game.
Before you go clothes shopping, have your child make a separate list of what he/she needs and wants. It’s important that your child have a say in his/her style but they may need some guidance. Usually clothes shopping needs to consist of new underwear, some t-shirts, pajamas, a pair of two of jeans, trousers/skirts, and a few different pair of shoes like girls boots and tennis shoes.
Agree on a budget. How much money do you plan to spend and where are yo going. You may want to hit the discount stores or sales first to get your money’s worth before hitting the name brand stores. Maybe allow your kid a couple items of their favorite brand and get some of the basics elsewhere. Why pair $20 for a set of socks.
If you plan to do your school and winter shopping all at once, you will also need, a jacket, a few sweaters, outerwear like scarves, hats and mittens.
Start early. Get at the store when it opens so you can beat the crowds. Clothes shopping can be overwhelming, especially for kids. They tire easily. If you come up with ap lan together, you may avoid hassles and actually have fun.
